Beautifully preserved Spanish colonial town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Trinidad is a time-trapped town built from the riches of the sugar and slave trade that flourished in the neighbouring Valley of the Sugar Mills.

Trinidad is simply the most handsome town in Cuba. Founded by Diego Velázquez in 1514, this village is escorted by the towering Escambray range and the shinny beach as well.

It is considered an “outdoor museum” with its cobblestone streets, its horse carriages, and colorful buildings

Many art galleries are recently thriving in town and the live music scene is specially lively and enjoyable. Trinidad´s main square, the Plaza Mayor, is located in the heart of the old town, and is the most photographed spot.

While in Trinidad take the opportunity to relax on the white-sand curve of Ancón beach, or hike to the Salto del Caburní waterfall in the nearby tropical mountain resort of Topes de Collantes.
